New York, NY, November 20, 2025 — Sigma7 today announced the appointment of Jesse Cardin as Managing Director of Sigma7 Paragon Risk Engineering, effective January 1, 2026. Cardin will join the company’s executive leadership team and assume responsibility for scaling Paragon’s global operations, advancing commercial growth initiatives and deepening client engagement across more than 80 countries.
Cardin succeeds industry veteran Rob McMullen, who founded Paragon in 2009 and will retire at year-end. To ensure continuity, McMullen and Cardin will work side-by-side, overseeing client transitions and operational hand-offs. The leadership change marks a new chapter for Sigma7’s risk engineering division, which supports multinational organizations in anticipating and mitigating geopolitical, environmental and technology-driven threats.
With nearly two decades of experience, Cardin brings a proven record of building high-performance risk engineering practices. He began his career at FM Global as a risk consultant and account engineer before launching Paragon’s Canadian operation in 2014, where he managed several of the firm’s most complex client portfolios. In his new role, Cardin will leverage Sigma7’s tech-forward threat intelligence platform and the expertise of more than 200 engineers to deliver measurable resilience outcomes for clients operating in dynamic risk environments.
“As we accelerate Sigma7’s mission to provide integrated, data-driven resilience solutions, Jesse’s strategic vision and operational expertise make him the ideal leader for Paragon’s next phase of growth,” said Owen Belman, Chief Executive Officer of Sigma7. “His track record of expanding services and deepening partnerships aligns with our commitment to helping clients turn risk into competitive advantage.”
McMullen, whose 16-year tenure at Paragon transformed the firm into a trusted global partner for Fortune 500 companies, expressed confidence in his successor. “Jesse has been at the forefront of our most significant client wins and geographic expansions,” McMullen noted. “His ability to combine technical rigor with commercial acumen will ensure Paragon continues to deliver the high-impact solutions our clients expect.”
Cardin emphasized the importance of collaboration as he assumes leadership. “Paragon’s legacy of excellence is built on close client partnerships and a relentless focus on innovation,” he said. “I am honored to lead this talented global team and look forward to advancing our collective capability to quantify, manage and ultimately reduce emerging risks for organizations worldwide.”
Sigma7’s Paragon division is integral to the company’s holistic approach, which unites risk preparation, real-time threat monitoring and forensic analysis under a single platform. By coupling legacy expertise with advanced analytics, Sigma7 equips enterprises to navigate complex operational landscapes with confidence. Cardin’s appointment is expected to further strengthen this value proposition by enhancing service delivery and expanding strategic alliances in sectors where resilience is mission-critical.
